PATENTED PROGRAMMABLE TRANSACTIONS
Transaction Requests That Carry Their Own Rules
2D Transact enables purpose, value, processing rules and transaction attributes to travel within a single request—allowing customers to respond securely through their trusted bank or wallet channel.
How a 2D Transaction Works
A compact transaction reference connects an originating request with a responder’s trusted financial channel—without requiring the requester to know the responder’s banking or wallet details.
Create the Request
The originator defines the purpose, value, permitted response and processing rules.
Generate the Reference
2D Transact generates a numeric reference token that can travel through any communication channel and be presented as a number, QR code or another supported format.
Respond Securely
The customer enters or scans the reference through their trusted bank, wallet, mobile or USSD channel.
Authenticate and Process
The responder’s institution performs authentication and required compliance checks before completing the transaction.
More Than a Payment Reference
A 2D request can carry the information and controls needed to define how a transaction should be presented, authorised and processed.
Purpose
Define what the transaction is for and how it should be presented to the responder.
Value and Currency
Specify an amount, currency, commodity, reward or another supported value type.
Response Options
Control the actions available to the responder, including acceptance, rejection or permitted alternatives.
Processing Rules
Apply transaction types, limits, routing instructions and conditional processing requirements.
Fees and Allocations
Include applicable charges, commissions, splits or allocation instructions.
Validity and Controls
Set expiry periods, permitted channels, participant rules and other transaction constraints.
RESPONDER-INDEPENDENT BY DESIGN
Respond Without Sharing Your Banking Details
The originator does not need to know which person will respond, where they bank or which wallet they use. The transaction request carries the information required to identify and process the intended transaction.
The responder uses their trusted financial channel, where authentication, account selection and applicable compliance checks remain under the control of their bank or wallet provider.
One Mechanism. Multiple Transaction Models
2D Transact can support different transaction purposes, value types and response channels without changing the underlying request-and-response mechanism.
Request to Pay
Send a structured payment request that the customer can review and authorise through their trusted financial channel.
Merchant Payments
Present transaction requests through POS devices, QR codes, mobile applications, messaging or numeric references.
Bills and Collections
Connect invoices, accounts and collection requests to a guided customer response.
Controlled Disbursements
Apply purpose, eligibility and permitted-use rules to grants, benefits, claims and programme payments.
Alternative-Value Transactions
Request and process supported currencies, commodities, rewards or other defined value types.
Feature-Phone Access
Allow customers to respond through numeric references and USSD without requiring a smartphone.
PATENTED TRANSACTION ARCHITECTURE
Protected Across Multiple Markets
2D Transact is built on patented intellectual property covering its responder-independent transaction-request mechanism and the use of a reference to connect programmable transaction attributes with a secure response channel.
The architecture is designed to work across currencies, value types, financial institutions and communication channels while allowing authentication and regulatory controls to remain with the responder’s trusted provider.
